A staple on WWE television from the mid-1980s through the mid-90s, Brutus Beefcake is most famously remembered as the fan favorite real-life buddy of Hulk Hogan and whatever he lacked in terms of in-ring abilities, he made up for with his over-the-top, struttin'-n-cuttin' gimmick of "The Barber".

Say what you want about The Barber, but for a time, he was over.

The Golden Age of WWF, or the Hulkamania era that ran wild during the late 80s would not be complete without mentioning Beefcake, and while millions remember the babyface that gave haircuts to the likes of Jimmy Hart, Sensational Sherri, and The Genius, fewer remember his days spent heeling it up with Greg Valentine.

Collectively known as The Dream Team, Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake (pre-Barber days) were managed by Luscious Johnny Valiant and held the World Tag Team Championship from August 1985 through April 1986.

Whether as a full-time wrestler in the 80s, host of The Barber Shop interview segment in the early 90s, or his return to the ring in 1993, Beefcake was constantly viewed as a white-meat (no pun intended) babyface. This makes it that much harder to envision Brutii as a heel, but the fact is, he cut his teeth as one.
