At first glance, Rikishi looks like a dude who could probably annihilate anyone if he wanted, but that was never how WWE portrayed him. Instead, he was the fun-loving, butt-shaking Samoan who the audience took to during his Too Cool days.

Rikishi had a role and he played it well, but truth be told, he was never going to get beyond a certain level in the company after being booked the way he was for so long. That didn't stop WWE from turning him heel in bizarre fashion by revealing he was the one who ran over Stone Cold Steve Austin in the parking lot one year earlier.

He went from comedic midcard babyface to serious heel main eventer almost overnight, except the transition was too sudden to be believable. WWE did everything to try to change that by having him face The Rock at Survivor Series and upset The Undertaker on the December 4, 2000 edition of SmackDown, albeit with help from Kurt Angle.

Undertaker didn't lose to just anyone at that point, so it seemed to be WWE's way of cementing him as a top-tier talent. However, he gradually dropped back down the card nearly as quickly as he fell from the top of the Hell in a Cell structure courtesy of The Phenom at the Armageddon pay-per-view.
