10 WWE Superstars You Won't Believe Never Held Intercontinental Title
6. Andre The Giant
Andre the Giant may be the greatest attraction in the long and illustrious history of professional wrestling.
A traveling sideshow of sorts, he worked countless territories, coming in to Dallas or the Carolinas or Portland to help boost houses against those a promotions top stars. While he was loyal to New York and WWE, he would often find work elsewhere. Andre was always in demand.
Then, when he finally settled down and worked Vince McMahon's company exclusively, he was a main event star. He worked opposite the biggest villains in the company, including Big John Studd and King Kong Bundy.
Then, when he turned heel himself, he was paired with Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan in marquee bouts across the country. There never was an instance where he fell below that level.
That is, until his body betrayed him and he was thrown into a tag team with Haku dubbed "The Colossal Connection", all done to hide his weaknesses from the masses.
He won the WWF Tag Team Titles during that stint but ended his in-ring career shortly after the split of that duo, having never come close to sniffing the Intercontinental Championship.
Considering that title was the 'worker's belt' at that point anyway, odds are not favorable that Andre ever would have held the title.
