That being said, attendance records aside, Survivor Series is the only of the original Big Four PPVs that has never been hosted inside a stadium. Obviously WrestleMania has done so, with stadiums now being the standard location for the epic extravaganza. But SummerSlam has also had its moment in a monster venue, back in 1992 when over 80,000 were crammed into Wembley Stadium to see the British Bulldog face Bret Hart for the Intercontinental Championship. And the Royal Rumble has also had its moment in the sun having hosted 60,000+ in the Alamodome of San Antonio, Texas back in 1997. Theres still plenty of time for this record to change, mind you. But given the shape Survivor Series is currently in, its probably not likely to be selling out anything more than your standard US arenas, barring some kind of dramatic surge in the popularity of pro wrestling.
