10 WWE Survivor Series Facts You Didn't Know

9. Average Elimination Matches Per Year

With its ongoing theme of elimination matches, Survivor Series was the original gimmick PPV. These days, we typically see just one or two gimmick matches at the likes of Money in the Bank or Hell in a Cell. But at Survivor Series, the average number of elimination matches on each PPV is a slightly more respectable three. Well, actually, the average is 2.6, but as you€™re likely well aware; you can€™t have 0.6 of a match. So we€™ll round it up in this instance. Those of you who paid attention in maths may be quick to point out that the modal average is in fact a little higher at 4 matches per year. That€™s because, back in the day, Survivor Series actually lived up to its gimmick by packing the card with elimination bouts rather than simply announcing a solitary elimination match on the internet just days in advance. Not that anyone€™s complaining, though. Right?
