10 WWE Tag Team Champions Less Worthy Than Nicholas

2. The Spirit Squad

The choreographed quintet don't deserve all the blame for the wretched state their lengthy 2006 reign left Raw's Tag Team Titles in, but KENNY, MIKEY, JOHNNY, NICKY AND MITCH had no clue how to swim with the sharks on the flagship whilst in possession of the allegedly prestigious prize.

Laughable as this notion later became, the straps landed on the crew to help heat them up in a resolute reversal of how the system is supposed to work. The Spirit Squad dethroned the dominant Big Show and Kane not because they were ready for the titles but because they needed to look like the were in time to spend all summer getting the sh*t kicked out of them.

As champions, they were destroyed on a weekly basis alongside the rest of Raw's heels by D-Generation-X working through their mid-life crisis on live television.

The state of the belts was left in disrepair by the notion that Shawn Michaels and Triple H didn't even want them as they effortlessly steamrolled over the cheerleader chumps, and the problem wasn't solved when then the youthful group eventually lost them to ancient (and ancient-looking) nostalgic nincompoops Ric Flair and Rowdy Roddy Piper.
