10 WWE Tag Team Wrestlers Who Held Their Partners Back

1. Seth Rollins (Becky Lynch)

A damning partnership for both that ended in disaster following Seth Rollins' loss to Brock Lesnar, the exploitation of a real life romance between 'The Architect' and Becky Lynch did much to chip away at the aura of 'The Man'.

Unideal for workers in form (the pair had only recently publicly announced their courtship), they were forced together on-screen exactly as their post-WrestleMania pushes had fallen foul of rotten programmes with Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans respectively.

To his partial credit, Rollins subverted WWE's systemic sexism by taking a backseat to his sharp-shooting better half, but she hadn't ever looked as weak as when she had another fight to have beyond her own. The Universal Champion wasn't looking towards Corbin, but over his shoulder for the Lesnar cash-in that eventually came.

In what became a worst case scenario slab of booking before their passable pay-per-view main event, some pointed digs from Evans and Corbin's proved true. Especially for Becky - having Seth's plight (and his increasingly rank patter) to contend with was throwing her off her game. The sh*t craic proved contagious as her once-untouchable Twitter persona was partially penetrated before the end of the feud thankfully also terminated (for now, at least) their tag team.
