10 WWE Tag-Teams That Shouldn't Have Worked (But Did)

5. Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov

In many respects, the union between Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov is the very definition of meekly shoving two random wrestlers together and hoping for the best. At one point, it seemed like Kozlov was destined to be forced into a main event role. Unfortunately for WWE, fans outright rejected this overture, it was clear that the man's Russian gimmick was far from over.

Giving up on any attempts to push him as a headline heel, WWE's power brokers put Kozlov with Marella in 2010. Their teaming appeared awkward at first, but actually led to the most fruitful period of Vladimir's career with the promotion. Together, he and Santino had some inexplicable chemistry.

One of the best segments the pair were ever involved in came on an episode of Raw emanating from Manchester, England in November, 2010. Hosting a tea party for Sheamus, the unlikely duo somehow turned a car wreck of a skit into one well-received by the live audience.

Pretty much all photos of Marella and Kozlov as a team look like they've been spliced together in Photoshop, but they were a riot as a doubles act.
