10 WWE Tag Teams That SURELY Didn't Happen (...But DID!)

7. Shotzi & Nox

The 2021 WWE women’s tag division was in full check-behind-the-sofa mode as a controversial finish to WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs. Dakota Kai and Raquel González led to the creation of a NXT-exclusive set of women’s tag belts.

Shotzi Blackheart suffered one of the more tumultuous fates as a member of the division. Initially featuring in a slap-dash tandem with Ember Moon – which would actually win the NXT Women’s Tag belts – Shotzi got the WWE mononym treatment and moved up to the main roster alongside (Tegan) Nox, in a fresh cobbled-together team, this time chasing the main roster tag titles.

The pairing certainly have every right to feel a bit robbed. In their three months together, they defeated the team of Natalya and Tamina in Number 1 Contenders matches twice, but were never given their deserved title match. They then famously learnt of their demise on Twitter, with Nox getting drafted to Raw in late 2021, while Shotzi remained on SmackDown.

Since Nox’s return to the company in December 2022, the two have yet to interact and collect what they’re owed.
