10 WWE Tag Teams That SURELY Didn't Happen (...But DID!)

The unofficial NXT 6 of Aleister Black, Ricochet, Velveteen Dream, Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa dominated the Black and Gold Brand in 2018-2019, churning out non-stop classics on a regular basis.

As part of the group’s slow trickle into the main roster, Black and Ricochet became a make-shift tag team, quickly making their main roster debuts and even challenging for the RAW Tag Team Championships on RAW and then Fastlane. They then (incredibly?) went on to challenge for all three of WWE’s tag team championships in under a week.

The mad feat started with a count-out loss to RAW Tag Team Champions The Revival on the 1st April edition of RAW. They then – on the back of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic victory the month prior – challenged The War Raiders at NXT TakeOver: New York for the NXT Tag Titles, before heading to WrestleMania 35 two days later, entering a Fatal-4-Way match on the pre-show for the SmackDown championships, ultimately losing to defending champions The Usos.

The pair became RAW Tag Title fodder and battled The Revival on the live circuit for a couple of weeks before disbanding, with Ricochet moving to RAW as part of the Superstar Shake-up, while Black went to Smackdown.
