10 WWE World Champions Who Will Never Get In The Hall Of Fame
2. CM Punk
Major WWE Titles: 2-Time WWE Champion (2011 x2), 2-Time World Champion (2008, 2009) It's fair to say that CM Punk had one of the ugliest exits in WWE history, especially if you count things that happened behind the scenes. It's not like he made a scene like Bret Hart in 1997, but in terms of the things he said, specifically in the November 2014 Colt Cabana podcast, it's hard to see him ever being welcome back by WWE. Based on his credentials, there's no question that he deserves it. In his eight years in WWE, he accomplished a lot, had a monumental 434 WWE Title reign and was arguably the best, most consistent performer in WWE from 2009 to 2013. Punk quit WWE after the 2014 Royal Rumble. A few months later, WWE sent him termination papers and they happened to reach him on the day of his wedding to former WWE diva AJ Lee. Since that time, WWE's Dr. Chris Amann has filed a lawsuit against Punk for disparaging remarks during the podcast with Cabana. A lot of Punk's issues in WWE seem to be with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. He said many times that he got along with Vince McMahon very well but, for whatever reason, Triple H didn't like him. He has ripped them on-screen as well as off, so that's why it may be tough for him to ever get into the Hall of Fame, considering they are the future bosses of WWE. There's a chance Punk gets in the Hall of Fame in 15-20 years. Maybe he apologizes for the things he said. Perhaps he'll have kids that will have heard about him in WWE, so they might want him to go back to be honoured. Those kinds of things happen and they could with Punk as well. For now, it seems like a long shot.
