10 WWE Worst WrestleMania Gimmick Matches

5. Torrie Wilson vs Candice Michelle (WrestleMania 22)

This one is a “Playboy Pillow Fight” match. There’s not really a whole lot more we need to say, really.

Oh, alright then. This was during WWE’s charming phase of encouraging one of its female stars to pose for Playboy; doing so would most likely net you a spot on the WrestleMania card. Here it was Candice Michelle who did the honours, and wound up in a match that serves as four minutes of titillation for the crowd.

Michelle and Wilson give a game effort, but there’s no way they’re going to put anything decent together with the pillow fight stipulation and the fact that female talent was often actively discouraged from attempting anything resembling actual wrestling during this era.

There’s a sizeable portion of the fan base who were tuning in for this kind of business, so hopefully they managed to get what they needed out of this four minute affair, but for the rest of us, it’s the kind of wrestling you’d hate to be caught watching (even more than most wrestling).
