10. The Rock
Why It Should Happen: Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock have main evented a record-breaking three WrestleManias against each other. Those matches at 'Manias XV, X-Seven and XIX were legendary and the first two did monster business (their third meeting was part of a 'triple main event'). Delivering in the ring and at the box-office, Austin versus The Rock is one of the most successful pro-wrestling feuds of all-time. People (including non-wrestling fans) will always pay to see The Rock and Austin square off with one another, because they're two strong, believable personalities and have an amazing chemistry with each other. They're both in excellent physical shape (even if Austin's neck is banged up and The Rock has received injuries in his last couple of matches) and could probably work a satisfactory fifteen or twenty minute match, even if the fifty-year-old Austin's wind might not be what it once was. The WrestleMania score reads 2-1 to Austin. The Rock could easily claim that he was trying to level the score before he called time on his in-ring career. What Are The Chances: Not very good, really. Although some people may be excited by the prospect of another Austin/Rock WrestleMania match, it's doubtful that WWE are in a hurry to book it. It's been done before and there's little chance of it living up to the hype. Besides, for it to work properly somebody would have to go heel and it's likely that the WWE universe will be resistant to jeering either The Great One or The Texas Rattlesnake.
