Why It Should Happen: First and foremost, because it's never happened before. Like The Rock, Batista is a Hollywood star (although he is still really only cutting his teeth in the movie business) and WWE would love to have him back for a big WrestleMania match. The type of exposure that the Bond man would bring is priceless. Batista was also on a roll as a heel during the final months of his run in 2014. Initially positioned as a babyface, fan resentment caused WWE to turn him. It's a role clearly more suited to Batista. If heroic babyface Austin is going to succeed in 2015, he's going to need a strong heel to play off. Batista is that man. Can you imagine the promos these two could do against each other? Austin could get a lot of mileage out of Hollywood Dave's movie star image, if that's how WWE were to play it. Equally, Batista could mock Austin for never having the silver screen success that he is currently enjoying. They practically write themselves. What Are The Chances: It's hard to see how Batista and Austin would work in the ring. Both guys are getting on in age and would probably struggle in a big time singles match. In some kind of tag team setting, it would work, but that would also dilute Austin's drawing power. It would be wise not to bet on Austin/Batista at WrestleMania 32.
