5. Shane McMahon Vs. Daniel Bryan

While there are still several major hurdles to clear if Daniel Bryan is ever to compete in a WWE ring again, his ongoing storyline with Shane McMahon has to be heading somewhere, and anything other than a comeback will be disappointing.

It'd mean going against their own doctor's orders. This is ghoulish, but WWE are an inherently ghoulish company, and booking Bryan does make business sense. His contract's up this summer, he's hell-bent on wrestling again, and given that WWE's medical team were the only party not to clear him, he clearly isn't going to just disappear into the ether.

No, if Bryan doesn't compete for WWE, he's going to do so for an NJPW, ROH, or CMLL, and he'd be a huge money-drawing asset for either one.

Vince McMahon won't want this to happen, and that's why he could conceivably renege on his stance.

Bryan vs. Shane isn't the match many want for the former WWE Champion's comeback, but it fits the storyline, and fans are deeply invested in both. Safety is an issue, though. Shane specialises in all-action stunt shows, and Bryan's concussion issues run deep, but it can be a successful bout if they tone it down.
