10 WWE WrestleMania 36 Card Predictions After Royal Rumble 2020

5. John Cena Vs. Daniel Bryan

The Fiend Roman Reigns
WWE

This entry is based on the assumption that this month's story that John Cena will be involved in a significant WrestleMania 36 match wasn't wide of the mark. We certainly hope it isn't, as the 16-time World Champion is the kind of name you want to see on lineups like this and likely still has plenty to offer as a guest wrestler.

Bryan may not be the most obvious opponent for Cena. WWE may elect to use Baron Corbin in a similar role to WrestleMania 35, only without the retirement stipulation. They could also book 'Big Match John' against The Undertaker as revenge for 'The Deadman' squashing Cena at 'Mania 34. Triple H is another possibility. Regardless, they'll likely want to do something big with Bryan and his skill, popularity, and big-stage track record, and who bigger than Cena if he isn't going to be fighting for a title?

Their last singles bout was that stupendous SummerSlam 2013 throwdown. Obviously that was a long, long time ago and Cena hasn't wrestled since January 2019, but Daniel is a wrestling genius and Cena a marvellous Sports Entertainer. They'd make it work.
