The renaissance of the Women’s division requires effort to keep it rolling, and Asuka is just what it needs. The most consistently dominant force in NXT is a hyperactive Japanese whirlwind whose strong style kicks look like they could legitimately decapitate anyone who fit the old ‘Diva’ label. One of NXT’s booking issues is that no one on their roster looks capable of realistically beating Asuka, making her a final boss of Dark Souls-like proportions.

Charlotte’s regal presence fits the role of Women’s Champion exceptionally well, as evidenced by the way her dad’s WrestleMania entrance suited her so perfectly. Putting the two of them in the same ring is a quick way to add a suitably grand women’s match to the WrestleMania card. The biggest problem with the match is finding a way to get Asuka out of NXT without having her lose some of her shine by dropping her title.

A face-kicking rampage followed by being stripped of the title would take care of that issue, leaving Asuka to start hoofing craniums all over the main roster.
