10 WWE WrestleMania Matches NOBODY Wanted
4. Braun Strowman Vs. Goldberg (WrestleMania 36)
WWE deserve a ton of credit for attempting to make the best of a dreadful situation back in 2020. The ongoing pandemic wrecked plans for WrestleMania 36, and forced the company to lock their biggest event behind closed doors at the quaint/outright f*cking odd surroundings of the in-house Performance Center.
They get a pass for that, and a standing ovation for putting the event(s) on at all. However, they shouldn't get a pat on the back for replacing Roman Reigns with Braun Strowman. That was a poor decision - a last-minute one, granted, but a poor one nonetheless.
Braun vs. Goldberg was not a Universal Title match people wanted to watch.
It also led to Strowman's rotten championship reign, and somehow managed to stink up the joint despite only lasting two minutes. Revenge for Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' might've been a better strategy, then he could've defended the belt vs. John Cena in a barmy 'Firefly Fun House' match the next night.
