10 WWE WrestleMania Statistics You Need To Know

3. World Titles Changing Hands

John Cena WrestleMania XXV

While it’s no sure bet, over time you would probably make money if you gambled that a world title would change hands at WrestleMania.

Out of 48 world title matches at 33 WrestleManias, a new champion has been crowned 29 times, an impressive 60%. That includes the vacant title match at WM IV, but does not include the ECW Championship “match” at WM XXIV.

John Cena has won a world title at a WrestleMania four times (21, 25, XXVI and 29), while Hulk Hogan has done it three times (WM V, VII and IX), as has 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin at WM XIV, XV and X-Seven.
