Christmas came and Christmas went, and whilst many may be suffering from the aftereffects of a food coma this week, others will turn their eyes to the new year and thoughts of what 2017 may hold. Many members of the WWE Universe will already have new year's resolutions in mind, changes in their lifestyle that they wish to implement but will probably give up on before January is out.

The men and women of WWE will be no different, as they look back on another year of competition and take stock of where their careers are at the end of 2016. Some can be very happy with what they have achieved in the past 12 months, whether that success came in the form of championships, contracts, or friendships.

We can always improve however, and the hyper-competitive world of WWE will encourage more pledges than many realise. Some will hope for the turning of a new leaf, others will hope for an upswing in momentum, some may just hope to destroy whatever is next in their way.

Here are 10 WWE wrestlers' new year's resolutions for 2017.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
