10 WWE Wrestlers In Danger Of Missing Out On WrestleMania 41

3. Bayley

The period between Royal Rumble 2024 and WrestleMania 40 was very kind to Bayley. WWE gave her some babyface flowers, and that was a feel good moment for fans who had been with her since the hugger days on NXT. Previously, Bayley's face push fell flat when fans rejected it. That necessitated a heel turn in 2019, so it was sweet to see things go full circle post-Damage CTRL.

By her own admission, Bayley's title reign after beating IYO SKY dropped off a cliff. Triple H didn't have anything worthwhile to follow up on that faction split story, and it came across as a mercy killing when Nia Jax won the belt at SummerSlam last August. Since then, Bayley has been drifting; she's continued to drift into the early months of 2025 too.

Latterly, the veteran showed up on NXT to get in Roxanne Perez's face. That'd be some match, but it'd only work its way onto the 'Mania cards if WWE were suitably impressed by Roxanne's sterling Rumble performance and wanted to reward her. Otherwise, it'll peak at NXT Vengeance Day in a three way with reigning third brand champ Giulia.

Then what? Bayley was moved to Raw during the Transfer Window, but positioning her as fellow face Rhea Ripley's next hurdle would be a little lacklustre (more so for Rhea). NXT could be Bayley's lot for the next few months, which means she'd be missing out on the same 'Mania highs she enjoyed last year.

Back to the drawing board for someone who's dependable but flopped ever so slightly as a top baby champion.
