7. Santos Escobar

That SmackDown World Cup loss to Ricochet on last week's episode of blue brand fare should stand Santos Escobar in good stead long-term. It was a blistering showing for both men, and it matters not a jot that Santos came out on the losing end. He looked amazing in defeat, which is more important.

Casual main roster fans now know they should take Escobar seriously, and they will from here on out. Fingers crossed Triple H's creative team follows up on all that hustle by giving Santos and his Legado Del Fantasma teammates another feud worth paying attention to soon, because that'd be the best way to capitalise.

His 2023 is gonna be colossal if handled correctly. The ex-NXT standout and Lucha Underground star has decades of experience, and he'll make the most of any opportunity to establish himself on WWE's banner shows. That scorcher of a bout vs. Ricochet is just the start.
