10 WWE Wrestlers Set For Career-Best Years In 2021
2. Drew McIntyre
There is no argument to be made that 2020 isn't the best year in wrestling that Drew McIntyre has had. His sudden and surprising Royal Rumble win instantly pushed his credibility through the roof, and when he captured the WWE title at WrestleMania, it was a moment years in the making.
His babyface championship reign has been fantastic thus far, and that is saying a lot, as being the face of the company is no easy feat. Even outstanding wrestlers such as Seth Rollins have struggled to maintain popularity whilst playing the role of the good guy atop the card, but McIntyre has done so well.
With his 2020 being so phenomenal, his time in 2021 has tonnes to live up to, but thankfully all signs point to him exceeding it. 2021 should be the year in which Drew fully realises his position as a top star of the company, and so long as his current trajectory continues, we could be looking at a new figurehead for WWE.
Thanks to his position, skill and the confidence behind him, it seems that 2021 will be the year of McIntyre.
