Recently, Ricochet has burst back onto our screens lately, after months sitting in catering and hanging out on Main Event. However, this isn’t the high flying marvel that we know and love. This Ricochet is a weird, annoying jerky that belittles his rivals and is just an all-out serial goofball… yet he’s a face?
Despite questionable booking, it is always nice to see Ricochet on the big stage, because everybody knows that he can hack it. But to really succeed, you need to give him something substantial, he is too good to just make up the numbers in throw away feuds and filler spots in the Money In The Bank.
Ricochet is after all a former North American Champion, and that division is arguably the strongest it has ever been. Imagine Ricochet taking on the likes of Santos Escobar, Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, Bronson Reed and maybe even a revival of his NJPW rivalry with Kushida. The sheer pacing of these matches would be enough to make you sweat. If this move isn’t made, WWE is seriously running the risk of losing the high flyer to other promotions, which would be a huge loss for the company to say the least.
