10 WWE Wrestlers The Internet Loves (But Vince McMahon Hates)
5. Cedric Alexander
Thankfully, Cedric Alexander has some momentum as part of the incredible Hurt Business stable. Since joining up with MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, Alexander has a direction that he didn't have as a singles babyface. Yet, over the course of his main roster career, it's hard to see an argument that Vince McMahon understands his appeal.
Alexander's run on 205 Live seemed to cement him as a star in the making. He was charismatic and talented, a natural babyface who got over with those who paid attention to the cruiserweight brand. After his loss to Buddy Murphy at the Super Showdown event in Australia, it seemed like he'd do great things on the main roster, backed by a large part of the fanbase who knew what he was capable of.
Instead he took a dive-minute loss in his hometown to AJ Styles on the Clash of Champions pre-show, spent several weeks as a janitor (?) and was forgotten about for months before forming a forgettable tag team with Ricochet and eventually getting some direction with the Hurt Business. Whether this will lead to greater success or be another red herring is anyone's guess, but Alexander is worthy of greater appreciation from management.
