10 WWE Wrestlers The Undertaker Faced Only Once

The Nature Boy was Undertaker's 10th victim at the Showcase of the Immortals, falling to The Phenom in a brutal no disqualification match at WrestleMania X-8. The match came out of 'Taker getting involved in Flair's business a little too often, and whilst 'Taker came out on top in the end, the match also saw arguably the most beautiful spinebuster in wrestling history, courtesy of Arn Anderson.

'Taker and Flair would face off against each other on a number of occasions on house shows, but the WrestleMania X-8 battle remains their only singles match on PPV or TV. Flair was way past his best at the time, but the Alimony Pony had enough nous left in him to work an excellent plunder based brawl.

A second match between the two quite clearly is never going to happen, and whilst that is for the best there's a feeling that a story was left on the table. Flair was the man responsible for 'Taker winning his first World Championship after all, and these two legends of the game stayed away from each other more than most.

Many great names never got to face The Undertaker in WWE. Sometimes, once is enough.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
