10 WWE Wrestlers Too Good For Their Current Role

9. Chad Gable

To appropriately encapsulate the story of Chad Gable: WWE Superstar, it's key to keep coming back to one old cliché.

When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade.

This must hit home in a big way for Gable himself as well as his legions of suffering fans, and it should for the WWE creative team as well. How on earth could Chad Gable, a grown man, remain positive when saddled with the demeaning gimmick of Shorty G, and dressed like the stereotypical kid picked last in gym class? He looked like a literal child, and the incredible thing is that this wasn’t even a rib, the writers actually intended for this to get over.

WWE acquired Gable as the metaphorical lemon and could have turned him into Kurt Angle 2.0. Evidently, they went a different way and everything past his American Alpha run was either forgettable, insulting or both.

Mercilessly, Gable recently dropped the Shorty G alias and returned to being a Chad, but the damage has been done made obvious through his lack of current TV time.

Let's say it again: he could have been Kurt Angle 2.0. Of course he should be doing better.
