10 WWE Wrestlers Triple H SAVED In 2022

7. Karrion Kross

If a certain Mr. McMahon wanted to make a mockery of NXT hot property Karrion Kross in the summer of 2021, then he succeeded. Vince turned Kross from a menacing villain into some sort of Super Shredder-meets-Demolition laughing stock; hell, Karrion himself remembers fans giggling as he walked to the ring.

That didn't feel good, but at least the pain was brief. Kross was released from his contract in November, and weighed up his options elsewhere before returning this past August. Immediately, Karrion and Scarlett were thrust into the top line mix with names like Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns.

That's just a wee bit better than trying to brave-face live crowds who are literally laughing in your face, isn't it? Hunter's stronger booking since has redeemed the Kross/Scarlett combo, and it's also given them a real chance to become future headliners. That seemed impossible under Vince, Shredder mask and all.

Better days lie ahead.
