10 WWE Wrestlers Who Are Having A Very, Very Bad 2020

7. Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe is cursed. Curses aren’t actually real, such voodoo nonsense is rightly confined to the realm of fiction and nightmare, but fans of the Samoan Submission Machine might argue otherwise. It happens every year, with depressing predictability; WrestleMania season comes around, Samoa Joe gets injured.

Joe only returned from injury in late 2019, turning babyface on the last RAW of the year by coming to the aid of Kevin Owens. Owens and Joe formed an alliance of sorts, standing toe-to-toe with Seth Rollins and Authors of Pain. A WrestleMania feud was in the offing before the Curse of Samoa Joe struck once again.

First came the suspension. On February 24, Joe was hit with a wellness policy violation, taking him out of action for thirty days. This was followed by another injury, sustained while filming a commercial, of all things. Getting injured in wrestling isn’t unusual, it is to be expected if anything, but in a commercial? That’s just plain old bad luck. Another WrestleMania was missed as the Joe jinx reared its ugly head, 2020 style.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
