When It Should Have Happened: Sami Zayn is another fresh addition to WWE's main roster, arriving ahead of the rest of the pack in mid-March to resume his rivalry with then-Intercontinental champion Kevin Owens. He appeared to be main roster bound last May when he accepted John Cena's U.S. Open Challenge, though an injury he sustained prior to the bout kept him on the shelf for the remainder of 2015.

The most logical direction to take with Zayn would have been to have him go one-on-one with Owens at WrestleMania 32 for the prestigious prize, but WWE insisted on making the bout a multi-man Ladder match instead. Consequently, the focus wasn't only on them, but they were still able to further their feud and go to war on the grandest stage of them all.

Chances of It Happening In the Future: In the matter of a month, he has already managed to get himself over with the WWE audience. He's the quintessential babyface in that he can fall short of victory and still look strong in defeat. He will have a very bright future ahead of him if he can continue to build momentum the way he has been as of late, hopefully culminating in a singles match at next year's installment of The Show of Shows.
