10 WWE Wrestlers Who Desperately Need New Finishers

3. Dolph Ziggler

The Zig-Zag has been synonymous with Dolph Ziggler for his entire WWE career, having first hit it on Batista in his debut match on a December 2008 episode of Raw. It looked semi-effective then but has only worsened in the years since.

It's a glorified jumping reverse bulldog that barely passes as a signature move, let alone a finisher. That hasn't stopped Ziggler from continuing to perform it all these years. He hasn't used as much as he once did to defeat his opponents (probably because of how frequently it was kicked out of), instead relying on a superkick to finish his matches.

Although the superkick would have suited him better a decade ago (when the Shawn Michaels comparisons were at their highest), even that has deteriorated into a regular move after all these years. To his credit, Ziggler can hit it out of nowhere and can execute it pretty well, but it's been done to death.

No one will ever take Ziggler's incredible bumping ability away from him, but the Zig-Zag and the poor man's Sweet Chin Music have got to go if he expects to be taken seriously. If Chris Jericho can introduce new finishers in the twilight of his career, there's no reason Ziggler can't do the same.
