10 WWE Wrestlers Who Desperately Need To Be Repackaged In 2021

10. Ricochet

The One and Only is an apt nickname for Ricochet, as there are no wrestlers in the company who can perform the spots he does. Despite being NXT’s breakout star of 2018, his tenure on the main roster has been rocky.

Last year, Ricochet dazzled in matches with AJ Styles and Cesaro, had a brief reign as the United States Champion, and defeated Drew McIntyre in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament. It seemed there were big plans for Ricochet. That was definitively proven not to be the case in 2020. In February, Ricochet was dismantled by Brock Lesnar in under two minutes at Super ShowDown, and he’s never truly recovered. This past summer, he was intermittently featured on RAW, teaming with Cedric Alexander, before the latter turned on Ricochet to join The Hurt Business. The only thing more confusing than his burial this year, is that, despite his record, both The Hurt Business and RETRIBUTION desperately want him in their factions.

WWE’s creative is wasting one of the most jaw-dropping talents they have ever had on their roster. Anyone who has seen Ricochet in promotions outside of WWE knows that, along with an unparalleled move set, he is a terrific heel. While it will take some time, a heel turn could be an effective way to start elevating Ricochet up the card and, with a previous win over Drew McIntyre, he has a credible reason to challenge The Scottish Psychopath for the championship.
