10 WWE Wrestlers Who Enjoyed Smoking Weed

10. Jack Swagger

Aside from a one-off run as World Heavyweight champion in 2010, Jack Swagger has floundered for most of his WWE career. He's had many start-and-stop pushes over the years, but perhaps his biggest break came in early 2013. After doing next to nothing for most of 2012, he spent some time away from the squared circle to find himself and returned with a head of steam. Along with a new look and aggressive attitude, The All-American American also debuted a new mouthpiece in Zeb Colter, a xenophobic patriot very much against immigration. Swagger built momentum for himself going into Elimination Chamber, going so far as to defeat five other former world champions to earn a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 29. He scored an equally big win for himself against Daniel Bryan on the subsequent Raw, but it all came crashing down for him the next night when he was pulled over by police for a DUI and possession of weed shortly following the SmackDown taping. The timing of the incident couldn't have been any worse. Despite WWE's strict policy against drug use, the former world champion wasn't suspended; he still went on to headline WrestleMania 29 a few months later against then-World Heavyweight champion Alberto Del Rio. As it turned out, his only punishment was not receiving an entrance on the grand stage, as well as, you know, never being featured in the main event scene again after that. He wasn't the first and surely won't be the last Superstar to see his push get nixed due to marijuana use. As stupid as it sounded, you have to admit the "Weed the People" chant was pretty clever on the part of the fans.
