The only current WWE Superstar aside from Jack Swager to land a spot on this list is none other than Randy Orton, which is nothing new to anyone who has followed his career closely over the last decade. Orton's infamous history with marijuana dates back to 2006 when he was caught "rolling a joint" backstage during a SmackDown taping. Although he was suspended for "unprofessional conduct" a short while later, it didn't count as an official strike against him. Rather, his first suspension came later that year during his feud with Hulk Hogan, and while he still appeared on TV throughout, he did not work live events. The following year, The Viper was linked to a scandal that saw eleven WWE Superstars suspended, but he himself never missed any in-ring time. Orton remained clean for the next several years before busted yet again in May 2012, marking his second suspension under the Wellness Policy (and his third overall). While it was never confirmed, it was strongly believed the violation was related to smoking pot with the former multi-time WWE champion stating he could "neither confirm nor deny" the claim. Even upon his return, Orton was kept out of the main event picture for the next year before finally earning back the trust of officials, going on to reign as WWE World Heavyweight champion and headline WrestleMania 30. Given his aggressive nature outside the ring, smoking weed must calm the nerves of The Apex Predator, but hopefully it no longer comes at the expense of his standing in the company.
