10 WWE Wrestlers Who Got Buried Because Of Their Tag Partner
5. The Dicks
If you can’t recall ‘The Dicks’, good for you - they were one of the low points of SmackDown in the mid-2000s, with even the wrestlers portraying them not liking the gimmick one bit.
Prior to being called up to the main roster, Tank and Chad Toland competed in OVW and had some decent success as ‘The Blonde Bombers’, winning the OVW Tag Team Titles and being managed by Jillian Hall. Their circumstances drastically changed when they were called up.
They were ordered to change their name to ‘The Dicks’ and morph their gimmick into male strippers/Chippendales dancers. They tried to make the best of it but they suffered a lot of hazing behind the scenes, which was commonplace at the time for rookies. Chad didn’t take to it well, often complaining to WWE management about the constant ribbing he was getting from the boys in the back. Typically and tragically, the nonstop complaints to officials just drew more heat for the team, with it affecting Tank’s standing in the company too.
Tank understandably confronted Chad and the two of them got into a major bust-up backstage over it, with the situation eventually leading to both of them being released from their contracts in February 2006, shortly following an embarrassing burial against The Boogeyman.
