10 WWE Wrestlers Who Got Buried Because Of Their Tag Partner
2. The Mexicools
The Mexicools gimmick doesn’t age particularly well.
It’s something that can’t and shouldn't be replicated today - Super Crazy, Psicosis and Juventud Guerrera rode to the ring on lawnmowers in matching coveralls, with the idea being to poke fun and parody Mexican stereotypes. But if anything it had the adverse effect on the audience, only enhancing it.
Regardless, the trio got over, and the faction even held gold when Juventud won the Cruiserweight title twice.
Guerrera acquired a bad reputation backstage, reportedly being late to shows and having a big ego and just being a general pest. So when he took on Kid Kash and reportedly sandbagged and potato'd him after growing frustrated with being booked to lose, he was quickly fired, mirroring his WCW departure several years earlier.
Even though Super Crazy and Psicosis tried to distance themselves away from him prior to his release, The Mexicools suffered as a duo. Crazy and Psicosis tried to continue as a duo, but they eventually broke up and were released too.
