10 WWE Wrestlers Who Hated Triple H

8. Chris Jericho

Before he blossomed into the ageing-rockstar veteran professional that he is today, Chris Jericho was an elite talent looking to make his mark in the choppy, shark-infested seas of WWE. He entered with a reputation and wasn't afraid to ruffle a few feathers to make a point, although performers like that were ten-a-penny back in the Attitude Era. If you didn't grab that brass ring, someone else would take your spot, erm, Brother.

Early in 2020, the leader of the Inner Circle spoke candidly about his past issues with Triple H, citing their real-life animosity as one of the reasons the two had such great chemistry together in the ring. They legitimately wanted to beat the tar out of each other, and that tension led to electric matches and a sense of realism that professional wrestling thrives on. Jericho even said that Vince McMahon actively tried to accentuate the issues, in the hope of creating ever-better matches.

That Vince McMahon is one weird dude.

Jericho and Triple H eventually buried the hatchet and today consider each other friends. There are plenty of reasons why that has happened but the removal of all professional anxiety is surely somewhere near the top. These two veterans stopped fighting over main event spots many, many years ago, after all.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
