10 WWE Wrestlers Who Hated Triple H

7. Stevie Richards

Good old Stevie Richards. Underrated in the ring, tremendously entertaining Attitude Era performer, leader of a stable that started off entertaining but dragged on way longer then you remember, Stevie was the original top lackey, a vulnerable character who got over through interaction. There was a lot to love about '90s Stevie Richards.

He also happened to be an ECW guy, so his chances of success in a Triple H-dominated WWE were limited at best. It wasn't his own position that Stevie took issue with though, instead growing frustrated with what he perceived as Triple H's eagerness to jump onto mean-spirited comments in the hope of making one or two top guys laugh.

This isn't news. Triple H may have mellowed as he has embraced his Grand Uncle of Wrestling persona, but it wasn't long ago that he was using his position to belittle those beneath him, which, by virtue of his position, was literally everyone.

Stevie singled out one particular 'joke', a comment made about a newly-trim Chris Masters who had managed to win his battle against various substances, a comment that centred around a hypothetical book called 'How to Lose 40 Pounds in 6 Weeks'. There was no need for the comment. Needless to say, it riled ol' Stevie up.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
