10 WWE Wrestlers Who Hated Triple H

4. Scott Steiner

It might seem strange to younger fans, but Rick Steiner was always considered the insane Steiner Brother. Scott was the All-American good guy, a jock extraordinaire that was expressive with his strength but relatively restrained in personality. Somewhere along the way that went out of the window, and Big Poppa Pump blossomed into a modern-day version of The Iron Sheik, taking incomprehensible jabs at anyone who gets in his beefy way.

The in-ring portion of the Scott Steiner/Triple H feud is best left in the past, even if it did give the world a strangely lethargic preview of what would eventually become Suplex City. Steiner's performances didn't exactly set the world on fire but the feud put a nail in his post-WCW career, and BPP hasn't been short of biting words in the years since.

Like many others, Steiner has focused much of his vitriol on the development of Hunter's career since his relationship with Stephanie began, reminding listeners that before that love blossomed, Trips was losing to Alex Wright in WCW and facing Henry O. Godwinn in a pig slop match. That isn't entirely true, obviously, but who is going to tell Big Poppa Pump that he's taking liberties with the truth?

Scotty boy has also taken the odd pot-shot at Hunter's obsession with politicking, saying that the toxic culture it creates is the reason why WWE has lost elite talent like CM Punk and Jon Moxley. That isn't exactly hot gossip, but I'm not about to disagree with Scott Steiner. The numbers don't lie, after all, and they spell disaster for Triple H.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
