10 WWE Wrestlers Who Hated Triple H
3. CM Punk
Is there a more storied personal issue in modern professional wrestling? No, there probably isn't. At this point, even those people entirely ignorant of the world around them will be intricately aware of the bad blood between CM Punk and Triple H. The two came from completely different professional wrestling worlds, after all. CM Punk was the embodiment of blood, sweat and tears, paying your dues, of perfecting your craft in dingy halls before scratching and clawing your way to the top of the industry. Triple H befriended the biggest name in the biggest company before romancing the daughter of the boss. Chalk and cheese, or something like that.
You know how it goes from there. Triple H doesn't like Punk, Punk doesn't care. Triple H resents how popular Punk gets, Punk doesn't care. Triple H uses extensive politicking and influence behind the scenes to stifle Punk's momentum at every possible opportunity, Punk cares a little bit more. The two worked together over the so-called Summer of Punk (which turned out to be the Summer of Diesel, of all things) and were slated to work together at WrestleMania XXX, only for further Triple H meddling becoming the straw that broke this particular camel's back, a back that may or may not have had a staph infection issue at the time.
Has there ever been a more obvious mismatch? The Voice of the Voiceless and the Actual Son-in-Law of the Only Voice. Sometimes, two plus two equals four.
