10 WWE Wrestlers Who Have Been Directionless During The Brand Split

1. Neville

The ankle injury Neville suffered early on in 2016 might have been the best thing for him. It was unfortunate that he would have to miss his first WrestleMania, but his absence would allow him to reinvent himself and his stagnant character upon his return to the ring.

Neville finally resurfaced in late July when he was drafted to the Raw brand. While he would have been better suited on SmackDown, it made sense to put him on a show where he could lead the Cruiserweight division. However, he has yet to join the Cruiserweight ranks and has instead been relegated to competing on Superstars on a near-weekly basis.

Not only has nothing changed with Neville since the start of the year, he is actually receiving less television time, which shouldn't be happening when there are two separate brands. He reigned as NXT champion for nearly a year, and now he can't even land a regular role on Raw.

His apparent pairing with Sami Zayn could be promising given their chemistry and history together, but in all honesty, it is a tremendous waste of both of their talent. On a three hour long show, it's criminal WWE can't find something more meaningful for Neville than throwaway matches with Curtis Axel and Jinder Mahal.
