10 WWE Wrestlers Who Have Been Directionless During The Brand Split

2. Apollo Crews

Apollo Crews appeared to be destined for big things when he debuted on Raw the night after WrestleMania 32. Although he had more to accomplish in NXT, it was a sign that management had high hopes for him on the main roster. But aside from one win against Sheamus at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, he was mostly absent from WWE programming.

Thus, he was bound to be one of the biggest beneficiaries of the Brand Split, but when he was selected late in the WWE Draft, that all but confirmed he wasn't going to be a top priority on the blue brand. Granted, he contended for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam, but he fell short of victory versus The Miz twice before fading off into obscurity.

There is still time for him to rebound and make a major impact on Tuesday nights, but so far, his immediate future on SmackDown does not look promising. He should have been a centrepiece on the show coming out of the Draft, but a lack of direction has prevented him from getting to that next level he belongs to be at.
