10 WWE Wrestlers Who Have Struggled Under Triple H’s Booking

1. Drew McIntyre

Two years ago, Drew McIntyre guided WWE through the pandemic as the world champion after defeating Brock Lesnar for the title at WrestleMania 36. His babyface turn and Royal Rumble win showed a glimpse of how big of a star the Scot was set to be in front of fans before that was cruelly taken away by the necessities of Covid and the empty crowd era began.

McIntyre remains one of WWE's biggest stars, but his act has long grown stale since he peaked in 2020. Clash at the Castle this year was a well-earned moment for Drew that allowed him to be a megastar in front of his home crowd (kind of), but his loss to Roman Reigns has only furthered the need for his character to change.

Under Triple H, the former NXT Champion has yet to shed the traits weighing him down as a performer and has been tasked to deliver on the difficult task of trying to help get Karrion Kross over. He has a part to play on the Survivor Series team facing the Bloodline in War Games, but WWE should consider giving the two-time WWE Champion a break after the event.

Turning Drew McIntyre heel would also be an obvious direction for the company as the likes of Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, and Seth Rollins have ascended beyond him as breakout babyface stars in recent times.
