10 WWE Wrestlers Who Immediately Told You They Were Losing
6. Jake Roberts - WrestleMania VIII
At WrestleMania VII in 1991, The Undertaker marked the first of 21 straight singles victories at the Show of Shows by defeating the legendary Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka.
One year later, WWE were keen to have Mr. Calaway repeat this trick with another veteran name. That name was Jake "The Snake" Roberts.
Ten years the Deadman's senior and a member of the business for over a decade more than Taker, Roberts was a great choice for the Phenom to flatten and establish himself even further as one of the stars of the future.
Everyone was excited by the idea, except for Jake.
Roberts was clearly not feeling it whilst making his entrance ahead of this match. He looked thoroughly unenthused, except for one brief moment when he noticed the camera filming him close up. He gave a knowing smile to the lens, as if to say "Yep, I hate this."
Behind the scenes, Roberts had actually threatened to no show the event over a dispute with Vince McMahon. He was granted his release as a result of this argument, and this would be his final WWE match for over four years.
No wonder he looked so grumpy.
