Kane's first match as Kane actually ended in victory. He beat Mankind at Survivor Series 1997, a month after shocking the wrestling world by emerging at Badd Blood to cost his estranged brother dear in his WWF Title bout with HBK.

But we're not going to stay within the confines of kayfabe. We all know that this wasn't the first character Glenn Jacobs portrayed in WWE; that would be Isaac Yankem, the deranged dentist who was recruited by Jerry Lawler two years earlier to help bring down Bret Hart.

It was against the Hitman on an episode of Superstars in August 1995 that Yankem made his in-ring bow, a match he lost as a result of a count-out. And if you don't count Superstars as an official show, he was also defeated by Hart, this time via disqualification, at SummerSlam two weeks later.

For some reason, the dentist character never quite caught on. Jacobs was sent back to developmental shortly after his debut, briefly returning the following year to portray Fake Diesel before finally getting his big break as the Big Red Machine.
