10 WWE Wrestlers Who Lost On Their Debut
7. Randy Orton
Randy Orton was just 21 when he fought his debut match in WWE. That's pretty incredible when you consider the fact that most of us, at the same age, would probably have struggled to tell the difference between a washing machine and a dishwasher.
Though it would be a further year before the third-generation star would make the permanent step up to the main roster, he got his first taste of life in front of the cameras on an episode of Sunday Night Heat in May 2001.
His opponent was none other than Billy Gunn, who scored a fairly routine victory inside five minutes after nailing his rookie opponent with a Gunnslinger, to the sound of crickets in the audience.
It was a far cry from the sort of crowd reaction the Viper commands these days, but - once again - it really can't be stated how impressive it is that Orton was rubbing shoulders with some of the industry's biggest stars while barely out of his teens. Some are just born great.
