10 WWE Wrestlers Who Lost On Their Debut

5. Diamond Dallas Page

Booker T DDP

To be honest, the fact that Diamond Dallas Page lost his first official WWE match - a World Heavyweight Championship bout with Booker T on SmackDown in July 2001 - hardly even matters.

The guy's chances of success in the company were essentially doomed from the outset. Though he emerged from the Monday Night Wars with enormous popularity, DDP ended up being cast in the role of a creepy stalker with an unhealthy interest in The Undertaker's wife.

With this sort of introduction, it was to the surprise of few that the three-time WCW Champion failed to make any sort of impression on the Invasion angle, despite being one of the only "invading" wrestlers of a main event level to actually come from one of the two cannibalised companies.

The only positive you can draw from his losing to Booker on night one is that it helped the latter cement his position as The Alliance's biggest catch, although even this would later be undone when he himself was humiliated at the hands of The Rock the following month. Turns out Vince McMahon isn't too fond of other people's creations.
