WWE love nothing more than re-telling the story of how they saved women's wrestling simply by kicking the living sh*t out of it for their entire history then spearheading a hashtag.

#GiveDivasAChance trended on Twitter for days and days because WWE booked women horribly for years and years, but the company stole the narrative under the careful direction of Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon. Societal pressure made it so, as proven when hey weren't half as a*sed about doing the same for a similar groundswell that erupted for Naomi.

The talented former SmackDown Women's Champion has shown herself to be over in just about every possible diverse metric WWE now has at its disposal, including the very same Twitter that forced them to act once for good PR. They couldn't be a*sed a second time - the #NaomiDeservesBetter movement resulted in one Dirt Sheet appearance and just about f*ck all else.

A fabulous worker with an enormous in-built fanbase, she'd be a gift from the heavens for the still-maligned AEW women's division.
