WWE Reaches PANIC STATIONS Over WrestleMania 42 Uncertainty (WWE News)

Things aren't looking good for WWE WrestleMania 42 in terms of creative and marketing.

WrestleVotes is reporting that there's a lot of internal panic about the creative and marketing build towards this year's WrestleMania 42, so much so that WWE/TKO chiefs are currently in a wide scale "panic mode" about the situation. It's about more than just fading ticket sales compared to last year's 'Mania 41 in Las Vegas.

"Constant meetings" have been taking place to address the lack of clear direction for major matches/storylines spread across both Raw and SmackDown, and even merchandise plans are up in the air right now. Things aren't exactly harmonious behind the curtain at WWE as they hit the final sprint before another weekender at Allegiant Stadium.

Staff have been working under intense pressure, and there's a general feeling that nobody has enough time to figure this out and make WrestleMania feel huge. This is grim news for wrestling fans. Who wants 'Mania to feel less-than or be a flop?!

Only CM Punk defending his World Heavyweight Title vs. Roman Reigns feels like a big deal right now. Other matches lined up, like Stephanie Vaquer battling Liv Morgan for the Women's World Title, don't feel big enough or important enough for the largest cards of the entire year.

Generally, WWE has done an incredible job of making 'Mania feel must-see and like a pop culture phenomenon for decades now. That could change in 2026. If it's true that WWE/TKO are in full on "panic mode", then it'll be a miracle if this year's event goes off without a hitch.

Fingers crossed they can pull this together and get back on track, but there isn't much time.
