10 WWE Wrestlers Who Need To Redeem Themselves In 2025

8. Santos Escobar

When Santos Escobar formed the new Legado Del Fantasma with Angel, Berto, and Elektra Lopez after turning heel on Rey Mysterio and the Latino World Order, fans thought WWE was doing something with the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion. He entered 2024 by competing in the final of the United States Championship tournament, which he lost to Kevin Owens. He continued to feud with the LWO heading into WrestleMania 40, where he teamed up with Dominik Mysterio in a losing effort against Rey Mysterio and Andrade.

But WWE is taking things slow with Escobar and his group, a bit too slow, to be exact. They are trying to fit into their role as a heel faction, but they struggle to stand out, as WWE has quite a few heel groups on the roster. Once WWE's ongoing transfer window is complete and Raw moves to Netflix, Escobar should stay on SmackDown, where WWE can work towards rebuilding Escobar as a credible heel. WWE needs to craft narratives that showcase his incredible in-ring skills and a strong character that resonates with fans.
